California CPA Magazine Article
Linda was recently selected for the cover of the January/February 2016 issue of California CPA Magazine for her featured article on a similar topic, “At Your Service: Four Strategies to Engage in Corporate Social Responsibility.” California CPA Magazine is the official publication of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, comprising over 40,000 members across the state.
To better service VLS’ education clients as well as manage the firm, in May 2015 Linda completed her doctorate degree in Education, focused on Organizational Leadership. Both her upcoming presentation and recently published article share research taken directly from her dissertation, which studied common community engagement strategies used by U.S. small and midsized public accounting firms.
This research was unique in its focus on CPA firms and was unknown prior to Linda’s study. It has already proven to be extremely valuable to the accounting profession, demonstrated by its attention at this prestigious national conference. Linda is passionate about the subject and is excited to share her research with the leaders of public accounting firms. For more information regarding Linda’s research, visit ProQuest, or view the full dissertation on VLS’ website here.
Linda is a pioneer for more than just her research—she has been innovating since she first joined Vicenti in 1982. During her more than 30 years of service, Linda built two of the firm’s core specialties—school district audits and consulting and forensic services—as well as an award-winning public service program, which intensified her passion for corporate social responsibility and helped lead her toward her doctoral research.
Linda was also recently nominated for CalCPA’s 2016 Women to Watch Award, CalCPA’s 2016 Distinguished Service Award, and the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2016 Women Making a Difference Award. All of these nominations demonstrate Linda’s exceptional leadership and dedication to public service and the profession.
